Fireworks usualloy go on 9:15. \nEat at Rooneys and Ocean Place and park free or on the streets or paid parking lots in area. SUMMARY:4 mi\, + hike\, Hartshorne Woods w. Lighthouse Option & Great Lunch Too!
DESCRIPTION:WE did rocky Point trail last week so lets do the sister trail – The Grand Tour and maybe add the lighthouse loop option. \nGreat workout in only about 4.0  miles. We will begin from the Rocky Point entrance which is paved and has beautiful bathrooms and first hike 4.1 miles on the interior Grand Tour Trail. An easier self return option exists at about 2.8 miles\, though still hilly. \nAs mentioned\, we can check out twinlights lighthouse after if enough interest. \nThis is our most strenuous hike in Monmouth due to the hills and roots and rocks in some spots\, hence the “+” designation. All trials are otherwise well maintained and cleared. \nYou should not attempt unless you have been walking or otherwise staying in shape. \nBring water\, bug spray and a snack if you wish. Boots always best and poles if you want.
