The Chuck Lambert Band, Westside Park, Red Bank

This is another jazz series we do every year at Westside aka Johnny Jazz Park.

Chuck is a local favorite and well known to our group. He just celebrated his 75th and still punching out the blues.He kept the show alive last year and took out his accoustic guitar instead when the power temporarily went out in the area.

“Chuck Lambert is a versatile blues guitarist and singer whose sound and presence is well-known across the Jersey Shore, NYC, and Philadelphia, but is most loved in his hometown of Red Bank, NJ. While attending Lafayette College in the early 70’s, he was a member of the Tim McCabe Blues Gang, whose primary function was to play backup for touring blues legends on the East Coast college circuit. It was then that he was able to play for legends such as John Lee Hooker, J.B. Hutto, and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. Lambert is a member of the Norman Seldin Big Band, The Panama Chapel Band, The Cal Vetrane Blues Band, The Haugenes Project, and a guest artist with The Red Bank Blues Band, Heavy Soul, Herd of Blues, Al Holmes and The Tribe, and Poppa John and The Jam Band, among many others. His own Chuck Lambert Band is committed to expanding the scope of the blues while still preserving its venerable tradition.”
